Job summary

Trojan Recruitment Group is seeking a Service Technician – Electrician or Mechanical Fitter for permanent opportunities with our national client here in Perth WA. You will complete detailed inspection reports, assist Service Supervisors with scoping of hazard and fault resolution, and undertake routine inspections of BMU and fall-arrest systems.

The role involves maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing BMU electrical subsystems, leading refurbishment site activities, and assisting with BMU

Qualifications

• Experience with cranes / lifts / hoists / EWPs or other access equipment.
• Work Safely at heights (RIIWHS204E).
• WA Electrician's license (unrestricted, or fitting work only).

Responsibilities

• Complete detailed inspection reports.
• Assist Service Supervisors with scoping of hazard and fault resolution.
• Undertake routine and annual inspections of BMU (Building maintenance units) and fall arrest systems.
• Perform maintenance tasks (e.g. re-greasing, oil changes, wire rope changes) in accordance with equipment manufacturers’ instructions.
• Diagnose and repair faults on BMUs with focus on electrical sub-systems.
• Undertake major inspections of BMUs.
• Lead BMU refurbishment site activities.
• Assist with installation of BMUs, fall-arrest and other vertical access equipment.
• Undertake and approve BMU commissioning (and recommissioning)
