Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced engineer to lead BMCS design, installation, and integration for NSW projects, based in Macquarie Park. You will produce design documents, write control software, and ensure QA standards are met.

With 5+ years in Building Management Systems and strong HVAC and IT knowledge, you will guide complex installations and mentor juniors while collaborating with Sales during bids. This is a full-time on-site role with base pay, super and car allowance in Sydney.

Qualifications

• 5+ years exp in a similar role.
• BEng or technical related field.
• High-level knowledge of HVAC Controls products and services.
• High-level knowledge in IT and server environments.
• Five to seven years’ experience in Building Management Systems and digital offerings.
• Commercial HVAC experiences preferable.
• Excellent written & verbal communications skills.
• Advanced computer / MS Windows skills, to include MS Projects, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production of project design documents such as points lists, system schedules, equipment schedules and drawings.
• Design and implement control programming for new and existing installations, for Johnson Controls and 3rd party products.
• Ensure software testing and results meet customer specification and is compliant with QA requirements.
• Design and implement Graphical user interfaces for new and existing installations, to Johnson Controls and/or customer standards.
• Provide solutions to complex systems problems; troubleshoot or advise on modifications to programs as needed.
• Work closely with the project manager focusing on deliverable scope and improved financials.
• Engage in proactive customer interaction to understand needs and current systems.
• Assist in the bid phase by providing technical recommendations and reviews.
• Provide leadership to junior engineers, technicians and apprentices as required.
