About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Blaster / Painter for FIFO work, supporting shutdowns and ongoing maintenance across mining and oil & gas projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface preparation and application of coatings using conventional and airless spray equipment
- Perform abrasive blasting and industrial painting in accordance with project specifications and safety requirements
- Ensure surface profiles and coating thicknesses meet required standards
- Carry out work in confined spaces and at heights as required
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe worksite, adhering to all WHS policies
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, specifications, and job scopes
- Proficient in conventional and airless spray techniques
- Working at Heights certification - Essential
- White Card - Essential
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years experience as an industrial blaster / painter
- Proficient in conventional and airless spray techniques
- Working at Heights certification - Essential
- White Card - Essential
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in the mining or oil & gas sector
- Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application (preferred but not mandatory)
- NACE Level 1 or 2 certification (advantageous)
- Confined Space Entry certification
- EWP / Scissor Lift ticket
- Previous FIFO or remote work experience
