The Weir Group in Hazelmere, WA, is seeking a hands-on Blaster and Painter to support mechanical tradespersons and apply protective coatings on tanks, structures, valves, and piping. You will operate blasting, water cleaning, painting, and rubber lining processes in our workshop and on customer sites, contributing to asset longevity and safety.

Responsibilities

• Protective coatings application: abrasive blasting, high-pressure water cleaning, painting, spray/brush coatings, and rubber lining.
• Assist mechanical tradespersons with pump assembly, inspection, and mechanical preparation on site and in workshop.
• Inspect completed work and test rubber linings for faults, identifying quality issues and corrective actions.
• Maintain a safe, clean workshop environment and adhere to safety standards.
• Safely operate tools and equipment, ensuring proper cleaning, maintenance, and transport.
