Job summary

Advantage Global Australia PTY LTD is seeking a Quality Engineer to own blade quality assurance across our onshore wind portfolio, from receipt and pre erection inspection through to defect resolution and warranty closeout, collaborating with turbine OEM blade engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or advanced diploma in engineering or equivalent with demonstrated engineering level experience.
• Construction Induction Card (White Card) or ability to obtain before commencement.
• Minimum 5 years' QA/QA engineering experience in wind blades or equivalent high-integrity environment.
• Experience owning nonconformance processes from investigation to closeout.
• Structured root cause analysis methodologies experience.
• Experience preparing Inspection and Test Plans and quality documentation.
• Knowledge of composite materials, laminate structures and blade defect modes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs and repair schemes.

Responsibilities

• Own the blade quality management system, including Inspection and Test Plans, hold points and witness points.
• Manage the nonconformance process end to end: raise, investigate, track and close out blade NCRs.
• Lead root cause analysis using structured methodologies including 8D and the seven quality tools.
• Assess blade defects and develop repair proposals with turbine OEM blade engineering team.
• Conduct and verify blade receipt, pre erection and post erection inspections, and maintain defect registers.
• Review and approve blade repair documentation, traceability records and quality dossiers.
• Interface with OEM quality and engineering functions on serial defects, warranty claims and technical queries.
• Compile quality reporting, trend analysis and improvement recommendations for project leadership.
• Provide quality training and technical guidance to site inspection and repair personnel.
• Support quality audits and contribute to continuous improvement across the blade scope.
