Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking General Labourers and Casual Trade Assistants for ongoing casual work across construction, landscaping and industrial sites. Immediate start with weekly pay and strong chances of permanent placement.

You’ll perform site prep, material handling and assist trades, with safety PPE and White Card required. Reliable, physically fit candidates with a valid licence encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant.
• Construction White Card required.
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform site preparation and clean-up.
• Wheelbarrowing materials.
• Digging and trenching.
• Lifting and carrying materials.
• Packing and stacking.

What You'll Be Doing

• Residential and commercial construction
• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations
• Shopfitting and carpentry projects
• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Container unloading
• Site clean-ups and final cleans
• General manual handling duties

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assembling products
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For

To join our team you must have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card

• Reliability and punctuality

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:

• Steel-capped boots
• Hard hat
• Safety glasses
• Work gloves
