Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking reliable General Labourers and Casual Trade Assistants to support builders, landscapers, manufacturers, shopfitters and industrial sites across the region.

Earn minimum $35.11 per hour with Superannuation and a daily travel allowance. Immediate start, ongoing casual assignments with potential for permanent roles. Weekly pay every Thursday and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant.
• Construction White Card is required.
• Current driver licence and reliable transport preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Strong work ethic and reliability, punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Do general labouring duties across multiple sites.
• Assist qualified tradespeople on site.
• Site preparation and clean-up tasks.
• Wheelbarrowing, digging, trenching and material handling.
• Packing, stacking and basic on-site duties as required.
• Maintain safety and PPE on site.

What You'll Be Doing

• Residential and commercial construction
• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations
• Shopfitting and carpentry projects
• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Site clean-ups and final cleans

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For

To join our team you must have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport (highly preferred)
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliability and punctuality

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:

• Steel-capped boots
• Safety glasses
• High-visibility clothing
