Irrigatorsare responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of irrigationsystems across both substrate- and soil-grown berry blocks.

This rolecombines hands-on operational and maintenance activities, including fertilisermixing, irrigation control systems, pumps, filtration equipment, and irrigationinfrastructure, with the regular monitoring of plant water use, irrigationperformance, and overall plant health. The successful candidate will play a keyrole in supporting crop productivity and ensuring irrigation systems operateefficiently and effectively across the farm.

About the Role

We arecurrently seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our irrigationteam from October at our Tasmania blackberry (Dunorlan) farm. This hands-on role isresponsible for monitoring and maintaining irrigation systems to support crophealth and production targets. We are looking for proactive individuals who canwork autonomously, take ownership of their daily responsibilities, andcontribute to the efficient operation of our farm. This is a great opportunityfor someone who enjoys working outdoors, has strong attention to detail, and iscommitted to delivering high-quality outcomes in a dynamic agriculturalenvironment. We are seeking candidates who are looking for long-term or Seasonalemployment opportunities and strongly encourage local residents to apply.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitor plant waterusage and manage irrigation schedules to achieve crop production targets.
• Perform dailyirrigation programming and adjustments using computer-based irrigationsystems.
• Ensure the efficientand optimal operation of all irrigation infrastructure and equipment.
• Conduct regular blockinspections to identify irrigation and plant health issues, carrying outminor repairs and reporting major concerns to the Irrigation Managerand/or Horticulture Team.
• Complete preventativemaintenance activities in accordance with scheduled maintenance programs.
• Diagnose and repairirrigation pumps, pipework, valves, and fittings.
• Clean, repair, andmaintain filtration systems to ensure effective water delivery throughoutthe farm.

About you

• The ability toundertake moderate physical activity, including regular walking, lifting(up to 25kg fertiliser bags), bending, and reaching.
• A willingness to workoutdoors, coupled with excellent attendance and a positive attitude.
• Availability to work aregular roster, including weekends when required.
• Previous agriculturalor horticultural experience (desirable but not essential).
• Strong communicationand organisational skills.
• The ability to workautonomously while following instructions and established procedures.
• Excellent attention todetail.
• Basic mathematicalskills.
• Basic computer literacyand confidence using digital systems.
• Intermediate toadvanced English language skills, including both verbal and writtencommunication.
