Job summary

Murdoch University seeks a Bioinformatics Analyst to support the Drug Hypersensitivity Research Group. You will develop and apply bioinformatics workflows, analyse single-cell multi-omics data, and provide analytical expertise across population-scale datasets.

The role focuses on genomic/transcriptomic data, pipeline development, and collaboration with researchers. The fixed-term position offers a pro rata salary with superannuation and career development within Murdoch’s genomics program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant science/tech field.
• Strong knowledge of bioinformatics concepts and methods.
• Experience developing analytic workflows and pipelines.
• Familiarity with sequencing technologies and life sciences techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic/metabolomic data with bioinformatics tools.
• Develop, maintain, and support bioinformatics pipelines; train researchers.
• Ensure analyses meet accreditation standards and best practices; stay updated with new methodologies.
