Job summary

Mercor is seeking Biology PhD coding experts for a remote, six-week contract. The role requires a PhD in biology or related fields and strong programming in Python or R. You will source material, write prompts, and calibrate tasks for frontier models, using GitHub and Docker to manage code and quality checks. This is a 20+ hour per week commitment.

Immediate start with a flexible remote arrangement. Preference for candidates with publications or scientific software experience.

Qualifications

• PhD in biology, biological sciences, biochemistry, genetics, ecology, or a closely related field.
• Depth in at least two subdomains: ecology, biochemistry, genetics.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or another relevant programming language.
• Comfortable with Git/GitHub and Docker.
