Job summary

Binance Accelerator Program offers a 3-6 month internship for early career talent in Brisbane, Australia. You will lead a real-world project end-to-end, from data wrangling to model evaluation, gaining exposure to a fast-paced blockchain ecosystem.

You will work with Python, SQL, and big data tools, while collaborating with a global team and benefiting from networking and development opportunities within Binance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in quantitative field.
• Strong Python and SQL foundations.
• Experience with large datasets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own a real-world project stream end-to-end (e.g., syndicate detection, user behavior sequencing).
• Process and analyze billions of records using PySpark, Hive, and Trino; build robust SQL pipelines for feature engineering and validation.
• Build, evaluate, and iterate on ML models; translate model performance into meaningful business metrics such as detection rate, false-positive rate, and latency.

• Own a real-world project stream end-to-end, such as syndicate detection, user behavior sequencing, market manipulation detection, or feature discovery.
• Process and analyze billions of records using PySpark, Hive, and Trino, and develop robust SQL pipelines for feature engineering and validation.
• Build, evaluate, and iterate on machine learning models, translating model performance into meaningful business metrics such as detection rate, false-positive rate, and latency.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong foundation in machine learning concepts, with proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB.
• Comfortable working with large-scale datasets; experience with Apache Spark is a plus.
• Proficient in leveraging AI coding agents, such as Claude Code or Cursor, to accelerate development and improve productivity.
• Proactive and detail-oriented, with a strong instinct for investigating data anomalies and identifying root causes.
• Clear and effective English communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical findings and collaborate effectively.
