Job summary

Daly Waters Energy is seeking an Operations Engineer to provide broad, hands-on engineering support across upstream activities in the Beetaloo Sub-basin. The role spans well delivery, production operations, surface facilities and general field operations, with mobility between drilling, completions, production surveillance and facilities work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level/above engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
• 5–10+ years in upstream oil and gas with exposure across drilling, completions, production or facilities.
• Hands-on field operations experience, not purely office-based engineering.
• Willingness to work outside a single discipline as priorities shift.
• Strong understanding of well operations, production systems and surface facilities.
• Commercial awareness including AFE prep, cost tracking and contractor management.
• Proactive HSE mindset and ability to stop work if required.

Responsibilities

• Support well delivery, completions, stimulation and workover programs.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support during operations and review performance.
• Assist with AFE preparation, cost tracking and variance explanations.
• Coordinate long-lead items and logistics to remote field locations.
• Contribute to post-well reviews and continuous improvement of designs.
