Job summary

Corpus Christi College is seeking a Time Bedmaker (Full/Part-Time) to maintain a high standard of cleanliness across student accommodation and college facilities. You will clean rooms, offices, toilets and staircases daily, and may work on weekends during peak periods.

You will report to the Deputy Housekeeping Manager as part of a 24-strong team including colleagues at Leckhampton House and Old House. Experience in a hotel, college or similar environment is preferred and you should demonstrate

Qualifications

• Applicants must have experience in a hotel, college or similar environment.
• Excellent cleaning skills including knowledge of chemical handling.
• A vocational qualification is desirable and weekend work is required.

Job description

Corpus Christi College has vacancies for Full/Part-Time Time Bedmaker . Main duties involve daily cleaning of rooms, offices, toilets, and staircases. Applicants must have experience in a hotel, college or similar environment and will be able to demonstrate excellent cleaning skills including knowledge of chemical handling. A vocational qualification is also desirable. There will be some weekend working required.

You will be reporting to the Deputy Housekeeping Manager and will be part of a team of 24 staff, 7 of whom work at Leckhampton House the post-graduate site and the remaining at Old House for the under graduates. You will be working both on your own and within your team to provide a first-class cleaning service for the College.

Applicants must have the ability to work on their own in student & learning environment, be conscientious, hardworking, and reliable. There will a certain amount of climbing of staircases and carrying bulky items as well as busy conference periods. Flexibility is key to being successful in this role.
