Job summary

Bear Cottage, part of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, in Manly, seeks a Registered Nurse for permanent part-time and casual positions. The role delivers safe, compassionate, and family-centered paediatric care in a home-like setting and supports ongoing education in paediatric palliative care.

Ongoing education and support are provided onsite with opportunities to advance knowledge in paediatric palliative and hospice care, within a strong child-safe framework and NSW Health standards.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse provides safe, compassionate, person-centred care to patients and families of Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.
• The Registered Nurse acts as a role model by demonstrating behaviour and interacting with patients, their families and employees in a way that promotes a culture and standards that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.

Remuneration: 81748.17 - 114771.98 full-time equivalent base salary range (+12% super + 17.5% leave loading and salary packaging)

The Registered Nurse plays a key role in ensuring the child and families journey is as positive as possible.

Ongoing education and support are provided onsite with opportunities to advance your knowledge in paediatric palliative and hospice care. Bear Cottage's uniqueness as the only children's hospice in NSW make it a desirable place to work. If you have experience in paediatrics and/or palliative care we would love to hear from you.
