Job summary

Battery World Darwin is seeking a hands-on customer service representative to manage battery sales, installations and roadside assistance in Darwin. No prior battery knowledge is required as full training is provided.

You will assist customers, test and install batteries, provide jump-start services and diagnose common battery issues, while delivering batteries to customers and local businesses in a safe, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
• Confident when dealing with customers.
• Willingness to learn and perform hands-on tasks.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must hold a current Australian driver’s licence.
• Physically capable of lifting and handling batteries.
• Automotive or retail experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with battery enquiries and sales.
• Test, replace and install automotive batteries.
• Provide roadside battery assistance and jump-start services.
• Diagnose common battery and charging-system issues.
• Deliver batteries to customers and local businesses.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
• Process customer payments and complete basic paperwork.
• Participate in the 24-hour roadside assistance roster, including some after-hours and weekend call-outs.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
