Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Batcher / Relief Agitator Driver based at our Airlie Beach Concrete Plant. You’ll batch concrete, operate loaders and trucks, perform yard duties, and interact with customers to ensure on-time deliveries.

Expect an hourly rate of 34–36 AUD, overtime after 7.6 hours at time-and-a-half and double time after 9.6 hours, with 45–55 hours weekly Monday–Friday and occasional Saturdays. We provide 10-day training and a supportive team culture.

• White Card holder or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience with SAP batching system or willingness to learn.
• Experience ordering materials and maintaining stock levels.

Responsibilities

• Batching of Pre-Mixed Concrete, Allocating of customer jobs.
• Operate front-end loader (if trained).
• Conduct stock takes and yard duties.
• Load and deliver concrete as an agitator driver.
• Support purchasing activities and maintain safety/quality procedures.

Batcher / Relief Agitator Driver Wanted!

Your work will be a mix of batching, yard duties, customer interaction and relief agitator driving, all contributing to the delivery of high‑quality concrete to our customers. No two days are the same.

• Batcher/ Relief Agitator based out of our Airlie Beach Concrete Plant.
• Hourly rate: ranging from $34-36/hour depending on experience.
• Overtime: time and a half after 7.6 hours, double time after 9.6 hours.
• 45 to 55 average weekly hours, Monday to Friday, with Saturday work.
• Operate modern, well‑maintained trucks featuring advanced safety technology, route mapping, and load tracking.
• Enjoy daily variety with, batching support, agitator driving and occasional loader work, stock take, and yard duties.
• 10-day comprehensive training program for all new starters.

Position Duties:

• Batching of Pre-Mixed Concrete, Allocating of customer jobs.
• Operating the front-end loader (for those with ticket or experience).
• Completing stock takes.
• Loading and delivering concrete as an agitator driver.
• Yard duties which include the cleaning of trucks and general site maintenance.
• Supporting purchasing activities.
• Ensuring safety and quality procedures are always followed.

About You

• A current White Card (or willingness to obtain).
• SAP and Command batching system experience, or willingness to learn.
• Experience ordering materials and maintaining adequate stock levels.
• Ability to assist in plant maintenance and ensure operational readiness.
• Strong customer communication skills, with the ability to represent the business professionally on‑site.
• Good computer literacy and the ability to follow processes.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• A safety‑first attitude and commitment to maintaining a clean, presentable truck.
