Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a motivated Concrete Batch & Drive team member for our Corowa Concrete Plant, located 45 minutes west of Albury. The role offers learning across concrete, quarry materials, plant operations, batching, scheduling and logistics, with occasional truck deliveries.

An HR license is required to perform deliveries. You will work in a high‑performing team, gaining local plant collaboration experience and opportunities for career development within a globally

Qualifications

• Effective communicator with a team mindset and ability to work unsupervised.
• Flexible roster including Saturday work and overtime.
• Hold a Heavy Rigid (HR) license.
• Experience operating a front end loader.
• Construction Card / White Card.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the operation of a concrete batch plant.
• Operating a front‑end loader (FEL).
• Interact with customers, take orders & schedule deliveries.
• Collaborate with other local plants to serve Heidelberg Materials Australia and customers.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and continuous improvement.
• Ensure products meet strict quality requirements.
• Monitor plant/equipment and schedule maintenance as needed.
• Manage maintenance and production tasks with some manual handling.
• Deliver concrete to customers with HR license requirement.

Batch & Drive

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic customer focused go‑getter to join the Heidelberg Materials Australia team at our Corowa Concrete Plant. Located 45 minutes west of Albury. The Concrete Batcher has excellent career development potential with the opportunity to learn about concrete, quarry materials, plant operation, concrete batching, scheduling, and logistics whilst working in the construction industry. Along with batching, you will also have the opportunity to get in the truck to deliver our product to our customers. Valid HR licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the operation of a concrete batch plant


• Operating a front‑end loader (FEL)


• Regularly interacting with customers, taking orders & scheduling deliveries


• Working in a high performing team, collaborating with other local plants to deliver positive outcomes for Heidelberg Materials Australia and the customer


• Able to demonstrate safety and show leadership potential


• Ensure all products adhere to strict quality requirements


• Monitoring all plant and equipment, scheduling & conducting maintenance as required


• Managing maintenance & production tasks, which includes some level of manual handling


• Delivering concrete to customers (HR license required)

What we offer

• From $30.35 p/hour, plus penalties, plus super


• Monday – Friday, generally 5:00am/5:30am starts working 8 – 10 hours p/day, with rostered half day Saturdays


• 10 day training program on how to operate the agitator and slump concrete


• FEL ticket (if not already achieved)
