Job summary

Crown Melbourne is seeking a Bar Manager to lead a high‑performing team in a dynamic Food & Beverage environment. This 12‑month maximum‑term role focuses on service excellence, team engagement and delivering strong commercial results while ensuring guest experiences are memorable.

You will be responsible for day‑to‑day venue operations, payroll and cost control, coaching staff, and maintaining Crown’s service standards with safety and compliance at the forefront.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage leadership team, you will take ownership of venue performance, team engagement and operational standards while fostering a culture focused on exceptional guest service and strong commercial outcomes. • Lead the day-to-day operation of one of Crown Melbourne's bar venues, ensuring exceptional service standards and memorable guest experiences.
• Drive business performance through effective payroll management, revenue growth initiatives and cost control strategies.
• Coach, mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and engaged workplace culture.
• Lead by example on the floor, providing hands‑on support during service and championing Crown's service standards.
• Monitor venue performance and implement initiatives to achieve financial and operational objectives.
• Build strong relationships with guests and stakeholders to maximise satisfaction and loyalty.
• Ensure compliance with safety, responsible service and operational requirements while maintaining the highest standards.

About You

You are an experienced hospitality professional with a passion for leading teams and delivering exceptional guest experiences. You bring strong leadership capability, commercial awareness and a collaborative approach that creates positive outcomes for both guests and team members.

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or in a senior Food & Beverage leadership position.
• Strong understanding of venue operations, team leadership and financial performance.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and inspire diverse hospitality teams.
• Exceptional guest service skills and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Experience managing operational standards, workplace procedures and compliance requirements.
