Job summary

Drakes Supermarkets on the Gold Coast is seeking expressions of interest for a department leadership role. You will manage a busy store department, drive sales, maintain product standards and ensure excellent customer service.

We value fresh food knowledge, bakery experience, team leadership and a proactive, hands-on approach. You will coordinate ordering, control costs, roster staff, and collaborate with store management to deliver outstanding shopping experiences while upholding WHS standards.

Qualifications

• Fresh food retail knowledge and bakery experience preferred.
• Experience supervising a team in a grocery environment.
• Understanding of ordering, cost control and gross profit.
• Ability to roster staff accurately.
• Hands-on approach with strong customer service focus.
• Ability to liaise with staff and management and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead store department and manage daily operations to meet sales and service goals.
• Drive fresh food standards, merchandising and product presentation.
• Coach and motivate team; schedule and rostering; monitor performance.
• Collaborate with store management to deliver excellent customer experiences while ensuring WHS compliance.
