Job summary

Federal Hospitality Careers in Hobart is seeking a skilled full-time Baker for Wrest Point’s culinary team. You will prepare and deliver high-quality artisan breads and baked goods, upholding standards of taste, presentation and quality.

Ideal candidates have at least five years’ baking experience, with expertise in artisan bread, sourdough and lamination techniques. Responsibilities include maintaining consistency and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills, with a genuine passion for contemporary baking
• Relevant qualification in Baking or an equivalent trade qualification

In this full-time Baker role, you’ll prepare and deliver high-quality artisan breads and baked goods that consistently delight our guests, ensuring every product meets our standards of quality, presentation and flavour.

What you will bring to the role:

• A minimum of five years’ experience as a baker, ideally with expertise in artisan bread, sourdough and lamination techniques

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills, with a genuine passion for contemporary baking
• commitment to delivering exceptional service and exceeding guest expectations

• Relevant qualification in Baking or an equivalent trade qualification
