Job summary

TikTok LIVE Foundation is seeking interns for its SMB Service team to help diversify customer acquisition strategies through live streaming. You will work on large-scale technical projects, contribute to system design, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work in rapid product development.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an undergraduate degree in a technical field, proficient in at least one major language, and have experience with scalable distributed systems,

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Go, Python, Java, C++.
• Experience building scalable, highly available, distributed and mission-critical systems.
• Deep understanding of computer architecture, data structures and algorithms.
• In-depth knowledge of databases and messaging frameworks like MySQL/Redis/Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead large-scale technical projects to lay the foundation for the iterative development and scale of early products.
• Develop robust, efficient technology products that serve 1 billion users.
• Lead and improve system design and architecture to ensure high stability, performance, and reliability of the product.
• Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work in rapid product development.
• Contribute to engineering strategy, tooling, processes, and culture, improve R&D quality, effeciency and experience.

TikTok LIVE Foundation:
TikTok LIVE Foundation team supports the TikTok LIVE SMB Service, which aims to help TikTok's small and medium-sized business (SMB) merchants and creators diversify their customer acquisition strategies and business operations through live streaming by enhancing product capabilities, providing creator services, and offering professional live streaming content for users.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands‑on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real‑world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth.
Interns will gain practical experience, explore potential career paths, and participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops alongside industry professionals.
