Job summary

Regional Express (Rex) is seeking a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B1.1 or B2) for its Sydney base. You will join a maintenance team to carry out both scheduled and unscheduled tasks, ensuring high standards and regulatory compliance.

The role includes shift work and potential overtime, with opportunities for involvement in heavy base maintenance as required. The position requires CASA licencing, QA and WH&S knowledge, a valid driver’s licence, and the ability to obtain necessary

Qualifications

• B1.1 or B2 CASA licence.
• Demonstrated ability to perform aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Shift work plus overtime availability.
• Willingness for heavy base maintenance.
• Sound knowledge of QA procedures and documentation.
• Working knowledge of WH&S procedures.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to hold Aviation Security Identity Card and Airside Driving Licence.

B1.1 or B2 LAME – Sydney

An excellent opportunity exists for suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join the Rex Engineering team as a full-time B1.1 or B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME), for its’ Sydney base.

This position reports to the Line Maintenance Supervisor.

Position Responsibilities:

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on Regional Express Group aircraft and aircraft components within a maintenance team.
• Ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out to a high standard, ensuring integrity and robustness of aircraft to meet operational requirements.
• Service and clean hangar, tools and ground equipment.
• Participate in aircraft recovery when necessary.
• Observe all standards and procedures contained within Civil Aviation Safety Authority regulations, as well as individual aircraft systems maintenance.

Essential Selection Criteria:

• B1.1 or B2 Type rated CASA licence.
• A demonstrated ability to perform aircraft and component maintenance, modification and troubleshooting in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Shift work plus available for additional overtime hours when required.
• Willingness be involved in occasional heavy base maintenance, including component repairs as well as standard line maintenance.
• A sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and documentation
• Working knowledge of WH&S procedures
• A valid driver’s licence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A high level of motivation with a team-focused work ethic
• Meet the necessary requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card and Airside Driving Licence.

Preferred Selection Criteria:

• SAAB 340 B1 and B2 licence highly desirable
• Experience on transport category aircraft Line maintenance operations experience
• Holding of other aircraft type ratings will be an added advantage
