Job summary

Green Light Worldwide is seeking a skilled Solutions Architect (Azure) to join our delivery team on an initial 6-month contract. The successful candidate will provide expert Azure guidance, design architectures, and ensure alignment with government security standards while engaging with stakeholders.

This role requires active AGSVA baseline clearance, extensive IaC and Azure IaaS/PaaS experience, and mobility for interstate travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Active AGSVA baseline clearance is required.
• Deep experience in Azure IaaS, PaaS and IaC.
• Proven DevOps consulting and solutioning experience.
• Ability to design frameworks, templates, runbooks and scripts.
• Knowledge of Azure security architecture and governance.
• Experience with ExpressRoute, vNETs and hybrid cloud designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment and optimization of Azure solutions across IaaS, PaaS and IaC.
• Assess and deliver cloud migration and transformation initiatives for enterprise customers.
• Architect and implement integrated cloud solutions across Azure services (M365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online).
• Design secure identity and access management using Entra ID and related services.
• Deliver hybrid cloud solutions using Azure Stack HCI and modern virtualization.
• Implement and optimize Azure storage platforms (Files, Blob, Disks, NetApp Files).
• Design networking architectures with vNETs, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway and related services.
• Develop business continuity and disaster recovery strategies with Azure Backup/Site Recovery.
• Architect and migrate database solutions (Azure SQL, Managed Instances).
• Establish governance, security and operational excellence with Azure Policy, Monitor, Defender, Key Vault, Cost Management.
• Provide technical leadership aligned with Microsoft's CAF and best practices.
• Engage with customers to understand requirements and deliver trusted guidance.

Green Light is looking for assistance in technical expertise for an industry-leading organisation and has a rare and immediate requirement for a talentedSolutionsArchitect (Azure) to join our Delivery Team.

This Subject Matter Expert will be part of a technical capability responsible for providing technical guidance of to this growing organisation – providing expert advice on best practices, design and archtiecture across the Azure platform.

The main responsibility of this Solutions Architect (Azure) will be to assista Federal government end customer with maturing their existing environment and to design and architecture new solutions.

This role does require an active AGSVA basline clearance at a minimum. Consultants that do not hold this minimum requirement will not be considered. This role will work with a Federal government client and will require some interstate travel.
Requirements:

• Technically advanced Azure Architect with deep experience and knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Passion and track record of consulting and solutioning with a Devops methodology
• Provide advice on improving and establishing Microsoft best practice across all facets of the organisation
• Establishing frameworks, templates, business processes, runbooks, script etc.
• Expertise/SME of Azure IaaS, Virtual networking and ExpressRoute
• Architect MS Azure solutions for data and analytics
• Automation and configuration management
• Maintain, update, create Policies for the Azure platform
• Adhere to IT Security architectural principles and framework

Responsiblities:

• Lead the design, deployment and optimisation of Microsoft Azure solutions across IaaS, PaaS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environments.
• Assess, plan and deliver cloud migration, transformation and readiness initiatives for enterprise customers.
• Architect and implement integrated Microsoft cloud solutions spanning Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online and SharePoint Online.
• Design and manage secure identity and access management solutions leveraging Entra ID, AAD DS, Azure AD Connect and B2B/B2C services.
• Deliver hybrid cloud solutions utilising Azure Stack HCI and modern virtualisation technologies.
• Implement and optimise Azure storage platforms including Azure Files, Blob Storage, Managed Disks and Azure NetApp Files.
• Design resilient and secure networking architectures incorporating vNETs, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, Azure Firewall, Front Door, Application Gateway, Load Balancers and related services.
• Develop business continuity and disaster recovery strategies using Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery.
• Architect and migrate database solutions including Azure SQL Database, Managed Instances and Azure Database Migration Service.
• Establish cloud governance, security and operational excellence frameworks using Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Lighthouse and Cost Management tools.
• Provide technical leadership and advisory services aligned with Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework and cloud best practices.
• Engage directly with customers and stakeholders to understand business requirements, communicate solution strategies and deliver trusted technical guidance.
