Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking an experienced Data Architect in Brisbane to define enterprise data architecture and deliver modern data platforms. You will design scalable data models, implement data governance, and enable AI-enabled analytics using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, and Power BI.

You will work across batch, streaming, and API ingestion while collaborating with stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional teams in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing enterprise-scale data architectures on Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks.
• Proven ability to build scalable data pipelines for batch, streaming, and API-based ingestion.
• Deep knowledge of data modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and data governance.
• Experience with AI/Generative AI integrations and enterprise Copilot deployments.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and Agile/SAFe delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, and BI initiatives using Fabric, Databricks, and Synapse.
• Architect scalable data frameworks for data quality, governance, and security.
• Design conceptual/logical/physical models and semantic layers for analytics.
• Collaborate with business users and AI teams to enable AI-ready data foundations.
• Drive data strategy, pipelines, and governance across cloud-based platforms.
