Job summary

Paxus is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer for a 3-month contract (remote, Australia-wide) with immediate start. You will design, implement and manage secure, scalable Azure infrastructure and enterprise services, focusing on identity, security controls and automation.

Join a security-conscious team, monitor cloud environments, and support infrastructure automation and DR/backup. This role welcomes Australian applicants and offers flexible remote work with strong governance

Qualifications

Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
Strong Microsoft 365 administration and governance experience.
Experience with Entra ID and identity security services.
IaC, automation and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and optimise Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
Administer and govern Microsoft 365 enterprise services.
Manage Entra ID, including SSO, Identity Governance, PIM, RBAC and security controls.
Implement secure networking solutions and Zero Trust principles.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation capabilities.
Support backup, disaster recovery and compliance requirements.
Monitor cloud environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Microsoft Sentinel.
Investigate incidents, troubleshoot technical issues and drive continuous improvement.
Support enterprise SaaS platforms and emerging AI-enabled workloads.
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable platform services.
