Job summary

Shura in Canberra is seeking two AI Agent Developers to design, build, deploy and maintain AI-powered applications and agents using Microsoft Azure AI services and Azure AI Foundry. The role offers flexible/hybrid options with office presence 2–3 days per week.

You will configure agents for summarisation, drafting and decision support, and integrate with SharePoint, Outlook and Teams while improving prompts, workflows and templates with a focus on security and responsible AI.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring, administering and deploying secure AI agents using Microsoft Azure AI Foundry.
• Baseline clearance.
• Australian Citizenship or eligibility; Canberra-based role.

Job description

Our client, a technology-forward government agency, is looking for 2x AI Agent Developers to join their team. You will be responsible fordesigning, building, deploying and maintaining AI-powered applications, agents and automation solutions using Microsoft Azure AI services and Azure AI Foundry.

In this role you will perform the following tasks but not limited to:

• Design, build, deploy and maintain AI agents and automation solutions using Microsoft Azure AI and Azure AI Foundry.
• Configure agents for summarisation, document drafting, decision support and other business needs.
• Integrate agents with SharePoint, Outlook, Teams and other enterprise data sources.
• Improve prompts, workflows and templates while ensuring security, privacy, scalability and responsible AI compliance.
• Support architecture, service transition, user training, adoption, performance evaluation and continuous improvement.

To be successful, you must have the following skills experiences:

• Experience configuring, administering and deploying secure AI agents using Microsoft Azure AI Foundry.
• Practical expertise in generative AI, enterprise prompt engineering and tailoring agents to user needs.
• Strong experience integrating scalable AI solutions with cloud infrastructure and enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of responsible AI practices, including privacy, security, ethical deployment, bias and fairness.
• Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience supporting training, change and user adoption.
• Baseline clearance

You must be an Australian Citizen to be eligible to apply. This is a Canberra-based role. Flexible/hybrid options are available, subject to agreement with the Hiring Manager.
