HCM Australia Pty is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with AWS DevOps and platform engineering capabilities to move ML and generative AI solutions from prototype to secure production environments. The role emphasizes hands-on infrastructure, CI/CD and MLOps across data science teams in a government contracting context.

You will design, deploy and support cloud platforms underpinning ML, AI and data products, bridging development and operations to deliver reliable, scalable services.

Competenze

• Hands-on experience designing, deploying and supporting AWS‑based solutions.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or similar.
• Experience in CI/CD engineering and Git‑based source control.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (preferably Amazon EKS).
• Strong monitoring, logging and observability skills.
• Proficient in Python.
• Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Lambda, SQS and SNS.
• Ability to collaborate with data scientists and engineers.

Mansioni

• Design, build and maintain AWS infrastructure for AI, ML workloads.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation or equivalent tools.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines covering build, test, security scanning, release and deployment activities.
• Deploy and support APIs, web applications, AI services, ML models and data products.
• Operate containerised workloads using Docker, Kubernetes and preferably Amazon EKS.
• Develop monitoring, logging, alerting and observability capabilities for reliable cloud services.
• Implement cloud security controls, IAM, secrets management and secure deployment practices.
• Support MLOps and LLMOps capabilities for model deployment, evaluation, monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment and production issues.
• Create operational runbooks, technical documentation, reusable patterns and engineering standards.
