Job summary

FR Consultancy in Sydney is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design and optimize data pipelines. You will work with AWS data services, build ETL/ELT processes, and ensure data governance and security across cloud-native platforms.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in database and data engineering, strong SQL skills, and proficiency in Python/PySpark, with hands-on experience in Redshift and Glue. This is a full-time role in Sydney with Agile delivery practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Database and Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in SQL and database performance tuning.
• Experience with AWS data services including AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, AWS Quick.
• AWS DMS and Schema Conversion Tool (desirable).
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Proficiency in Python and/or PySpark.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud-native data solutions.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile delivery practices.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and operational support.
