Job summary

Saicon seeks an electrical/avionics engineer to design, integrate, and validate test racks for satellite hardware. You will ensure electrical soundness, calibration, and standards compliance before customer use.

You will calibrate, perform EMI/EMC checks, validate grounding and power distribution, and work with software engineers on rack automation, with frequent field travel and customer interface.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or avionics engineering.
• 5+ years aerospace/avionics test equipment experience.
• Hands-on instrumentation, harnessing, and power distribution.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC testing requirements.

This Role is spent in the field (more than 51% of the time) there will be travel involved as well as working from the home office.

Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 25lbs across the building and/or to other offsite buildings for various project needs.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s in electrical or Avionics Engineering
• 5+ years aerospace/avionics test equipment experience

Qualifications:

• Hands‑on experience with instrumentation, harnessing, and power distribution.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC testing requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s in electrical engineering.
• Experience with automated test systems and scripting.
• Knowledge of calibration and certification standards.
