Job summary

Textron Aviation in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Avionics Engineer to identify and correct malfunctioning jet, turboprop, and reciprocating aircraft systems, performing inspections and modification work on customer aircraft.

The role requires a B2 CASA license, English proficiency for reporting, and type-rating on a Citation 560 with JT15 Series, with demonstrated business aviation experience and strong tool-handling skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold a B2 CASA license.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Type rated on a Citation 560 with JT15 Series.
• Experience in Business aviation.
• Ability to read and interpret aviation maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and disassemble/repair aircraft systems as needed.
• Perform annual and progressive inspections on customer aircraft.
• Modify aircraft systems and structures as required.
• Prepare clear, accurate inspection and parts identification reports.
• Conduct functional checks, engine test runs, and rigging as needed.
• Observe operation of mechanical systems during flight and assist in in-shop repairs.
