Northrop Grumman Australia is seeking an Aviation Safety Specialist to join the Mission Assurance team to support the Aviation Safety Management System (AvSMS). You will help ensure compliance, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement across complex aviation programs to deliver mission critical outcomes.

In this role you will conduct audits and investigations, analyse safety data, engage stakeholders, and promote a strong safety culture while navigating Defence and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in an aviation safety role within a regulated aviation environment.
• Knowledge of CASA, DASR, EASA, EMAR or similar regulatory frameworks.
• Experience conducting audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience within Defence, aerospace, or contract support environments.
• Qualifications in aviation maintenance, engineering, safety management, auditing, or incident investigation (highly regarded).
• Ability to obtain and maintain AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
