Job summary

Airservices Australia is seeking an Electrician (General Services Officer) based in Adelaide to maintain critical air traffic control and aviation rescue systems, ensuring safety and reliability of the national airways network.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, support safe operation of equipment, and work with a skilled team across locations in South Australia. A state electrical licence and Certificate III are required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and State Electrical Licence are required.
• A strong commitment to working in a team environment with a focus on delivering the highest level of customer service.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to develop knowledge and understanding of the policies, procedures, and legislation relevant to the position.
• Ability to perform maintenance and installation on electrical systems (power reticulation, UPS, standby generators, air conditioning control, DC power and battery systems).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with prescribed processes, procedures and standards.
• Support the safe and reliable operation of airways systems and equipment.
• Maintain awareness of the impact maintenance activities on operational systems and services.
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry into maintenance management systems.
• Coach and support the development of other team members within the workgroup.
• Participate in safety, environmental, risk, compliance and governance activities.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery and work practices.
• Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve operational outcomes.
