Job summary

Warrnambool Urgent Care Clinic in Warrnambool, VIC, Australia, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the triage team on a sessional/casual basis. The NP will provide autonomous, high-quality care, prescribe medications, order tests, and coordinate with GPs and other health professionals in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires AHPRA registration as a Nurse Practitioner, extensive clinical experience, and leadership capabilities, with a focus on quality improvement and evidence-based practice

Qualifications

• AHPRA registered nurse with NP endorsement.
• Advanced clinical assessment, treatment and health promotion experience.
• Experience with quality improvement and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced and autonomous care to patients within NP scope.
• Prescribe medications, order tests, and refer to GPs as part of the triage team.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing colleagues to support clinical care.
• Maintain accurate patient records in Best Practice per protocols and legislation.
• Lead quality improvement activities within the NP role.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
