Job summary

Nexia Healthcare in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary allied health team. You will manage your own caseload across clinic, telehealth and community settings, delivering evidence-based OT to children through to adults.

You will collaborate with psychologists, speech pathologists and paediatricians, complete reports, and contribute to pathways into senior clinical roles; AHPRA registration required; flexible part-time or full-time.

Qualifications

• AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years post-registration experience.
• Capable of independent caseload management and FCAs.
• Experience writing NDIA/NDIS and Services Australia reports.
• Comfortable delivering therapy via telehealth and face-to-face.
• Experience with neurodevelopmental conditions in children and adults.
• Full working rights in Australia, current driver's licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct FCAs for children and adults in clinic, telehealth, and community settings.
• Write clear, evidence-based functional reports to support NDIS access requests, plan reviews and DSP applications.
• Deliver ongoing OT intervention for clients with ADHD, ASD and related conditions, both on-site and via telehealth.
• Develop individualised therapy and capacity-building plans, and adjust them as clients progress.
• Work collaboratively with allied health assistants, including setting programs and reviewing progress.
• Proactively follow up clients between sessions and elevate clinical concerns early.
• Collaborate with psychologists, speech pathologists, psychiatrists and paediatricians through case conferences and team meetings.
• Partner with parents, carers and educators to build strategies that extend beyond sessions.
• Complete documentation and reports within agreed turnaround times, in line with AHPRA and NDIS Practice Standards.
