Job summary

Ballarat Roadworthy Centre is seeking a qualified Automotive Technician for light or heavy vehicles at our Ballarat Automotive Service Centre. The role focuses on servicing, repairing and inspecting vehicles to exacting safety standards, while upholding QA processes and a tidy, safe workshop environment.

You will work with a team of dedicated mechanics and contribute to KPI achievement and professional growth within a family-friendly setting.

Qualifications

• High level mechanical knowledge with either light vehicles or heavy vehicles.
• Roadworthy experience.
• Ability to mentor and develop apprentice technicians.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and inspect a large variety of vehicles including cars, trucks and buses.
• Ensure vehicles leave the workshop to Ballarat Roadworthy Centre standards.
• Adhere to internal Quality Assurance processes.
• Maintain vehicle security and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure each vehicle leaves at the highest standard as set by Ballarat Roadworthy Centre / Ballarat Automotive Service Centre.
• Service, Repair and inspect a large variety of vehicles including cars, trucks and buses.
• Adhere to and enforce Ballarat Roadworthy Centre's Quality Assurance Processes.
• Maintain vehicle security and presentation standards.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and attractive working environment by following housekeeping, safety, and security procedures.
• Uphold Ballarat Roadworthy Centre's standards and achieve set KPIs.

Key Skills Required

• High level of mechanical knowledge with either light vehicles or heavy vehicles.

• Ability to mentor and develop apprentice technicians.

Performance Standards

• Achievement of monthly technician KPI's.
• Adherence to all internal procedures as directed by management.
• Commitment to work health and safety by following workplace procedures, maintaining tools and equipment, reporting unsafe conditions, and using personal protective equipment as required.
