Job summary

Coastline BMW is seeking a qualified Master Technician specialising in European-branded vehicles. You will diagnose, service and repair complex systems while delivering high-quality workmanship and reliable customer outcomes.

You will diagnose and repair BMW vehicles, perform advanced testing, and hold High Voltage/EV certifications. A relevant automotive trade qualification and Australian licences are required, with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• BMW/master technician with European vehicle experience required.
• Strong diagnostic skills for complex electrical/mechanical systems.
• Australian automotive certifications or licences are required.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and service procedures.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving, and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults on BMW-branded vehicles.
• Perform advanced diagnostic testing using manufacturer tools.
• Work with High Voltage and EV systems and maintain related certifications.
• Service and maintain vehicles per manufacturer specs and standards.
• Complete accurate inspections, assessments and repair documentation.
• Identify root causes and recommend effective repairs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organised workshop environment.
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure efficient turnaround and quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults across BMW-branded vehicles.
• Perform advanced diagnostic testing using manufacturer-specific equipment and diagnostic tools.
• High Voltage and EV experience & certification
• Service and maintain vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Complete accurate inspections, technical assessments and repair documentation.
• Identify the root cause of complex vehicle issues and recommend effective repair solutions.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment.
• Collaborate with the service team to deliver efficient turnaround times and high-quality customer outcomes.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as an Automotive Master Technician working with European/BMW branded vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic skills, with experience diagnosing complex electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
• Relevant automotive trade qualification and appropriate Australian automotive certifications or licences.
• Ability to interpret technical information, wiring diagrams and manufacturer service procedures.
