Job summary

CQ Machinery Glass Pty Ltd in Mackay, QLD invites applications for a mature glazier and automotive glass technician to repair, replace and tint all types of automotive and machinery glass in accordance with Australian standards.

The successful candidate will work across coalfields regions, travel to mine sites, and contribute to excellent customer service. On-the-job training is available; apprenticeship paths may be pursued.

Qualifications

• Reliability and willingness to learn the trade.
• Experience with glass repairs and tinting is preferred.
• Manual driving licence is required.
• Ability to work in a team and independently as needed.

Responsibilities

• Repair, replace and install automotive and machinery glass to Australian standards.
• Travel to mine sites across coalfields region.
• Operate hand and power tools for dismantling/reassembly.
• Drive company vehicles and support customers with first-class service.
• Undergo or complete an Automotive Glazing apprenticeship if required.

CQ Machinery Glass have an exciting opportunity for a mature person to join our growing business in the Mackay & Coalfields area in QLD as a glazier and automotive glass technician. Our team specialise in Machinery Glass repairs. We are looking for an experienced, reliable, hardworking, friendly employee to join our team ASAP. On the job training is available for the right candidate.

What you’ll be doing:

Develop the skills and capabilities to repair, replace and install and tint all types of automotive and machinery glass requirements to meet national Australian Standards.

Working with all types of automotive and heavy equipment.

Drive company and customer vehicles.

Work in a team environment and independently.

Dismantle and reassemble parts, working with hand and power tools.

Travel to and from mine sites across coal fields region.

Deliver an excellent experience to our local and regional customers and work in a fast-paced environment.

Undergo an Automotive Glazing apprenticeship ( if required/desired ).

What we are looking for:

Reliable, positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn the trade and work fast.

Experience in glass repairs and tinting.

Must have a manual drivers licence.

A team player that can work alone when required.

Clean and neat presentation.

Coal board medical or ability to obtain.

Automotive knowledge, or experience is an advantage but not essential.
