Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in Test Automation / Quality Engineering.
- Strong experience in Automation Architecture and Framework Design.
- Hands-on expertise in Selenium with Java.
- Strong experience with Playwright.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing automation frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps integration.
- Proven experience defining and driving Automation Strategy and Roadmaps.
- Understanding automation design patterns, scalability, and maintainability.
- Experience providing technical leadership/mentoring to automation teams.
- Good understanding of AI/GenAI in software testing and automation.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the overall test automation strategy and roadmap across applications/projects.
- Architect, design, and implement scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to automation engineers and teams.
- Lead the adoption and implementation of Selenium with Java and Playwright for UI and end-to-end automation.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate automation tools, technologies, frameworks, and design patterns.
- Establish automation standards, best practices, coding standards, framework governance, and quality engineering practices.
- Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
- Drive automation across functional, regression, API, integration, and end-to-end testing where applicable.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
- Drive the adoption of AI/GenAI in software testing and automation, including AI-assisted test generation, test analysis, defect identification, and automation optimization.
- Collaborate closely with architects, developers, QA teams, DevOps, product teams, and business stakeholders.
- Provide technical recommendations and influence automation-related architectural decisions.
- Define automation KPIs, metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor senior automation engineers and contribute to building high-performing automation teams.
- Participate in stakeholder discussions and clearly communicate automation architecture, strategy, risks, and recommendations.
