Job summary

The Union Dairy Company in Penola, SA is seeking an Automation and Technology Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot and enhance electrical and automation systems within a state-of-the-art dairy facility. The role requires autonomy, teamwork and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Electrical or Automation trade qualification.
• Experience in electrical maintenance and industrial automation, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and improve electrical, automation and process control systems.
• Develop and implement electrical and automation solutions for projects and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical support to Maintenance and Production teams and assist with breakdowns and fault finding.
• Maintain electrical and automation documentation, standards and compliance requirements.
• Support maintenance planning, projects, procurement and HV maintenance activities.
• Ensure all work meets safety, electrical, food safety and quality requirements.
• Assist with automation system upgrades and new technology implementation.
• Support training, knowledge sharing and effective communication across Maintenance and Production teams.
