Job summary

NES Fircroft is recruiting for an Underground Maintenance Fitter to support a major WA mining operation on a FIFO roster. You will maintain, repair and service underground mobile equipment to maximise availability and safety, reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent.

This role offers a permanent or contract pathway, with a competitive salary and site allowance, plus a 15% STI and ongoing training opportunities on a large-scale operation.

Qualifications

• Hold an Australian recognised Trade qualification.
• Experience maintaining & repairing underground mining machinery.
• Fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities.
• RCT experience is desired.
• Ability to meet all site access requirements (Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic systems on underground mobile equipment fleet including Trucks, Boggers, IT’s, Normet Agitator vehicles and Drills.
• Fault-find and repair wiring, starting and charging systems, batteries, and control circuits.
• Install and maintain safety systems, lighting, communications, and machine telematics.
• Complete pre-start checks and ensure equipment is safe and compliant for operation.
• Accurately record maintenance activities and report defects or hazards.
• Work closely with operators and supervisors to minimise machine downtime.

8:6 7:7 Roster | FIFO Perth – Goldfields | Permanent OR Contract Option | Contract $95 ph + Super | Perm $185K + Super + Site Allowance + STIP

About our Role

Join our client who is an Owner Operator of several underground mine sites, supporting their underground mining operation in the Goldfields. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering a range of planned underground maintenance activities across our large and diverse fleet of machines and equipment.

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and servicing of underground mobile equipment to ensure maximum availability and reliability in support of production targets, statutory and site-specific standards including cost, safety and environment.

This is a FIFO position on an 8:6 7:7 roster, working 12-hour shifts.
