Job summary

Avaloq Group is seeking a highly motivated Tax Analyst for the APAC region to deliver Australian tax solutions within our Core platform. You will collaborate with software engineers, customers and partners, bringing Australian tax expertise to ensure compliant tax modules and robust reporting.

You will expand your knowledge of banking and wealth management while working in a dynamic software development environment across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Australian income tax legislation and ATO guidance.
• Degree in taxation/accounting/finance/commerce; CTA/CA/CPA desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex calculations.
• Experience in business analysis within financial services and software projects.
• English fluency for global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert in Australian tax.
• Analyse Australian income tax legislation and ATO guidance.
• Develop requirement specifications and calculations for taxation areas (CGT, investment income, franking credits, TOFA, MIT/AMIT, AIIR).
• Define and execute test cases to ensure tax module quality.
• Investigate complex client issues.
• Create product documentation with technical writers.
• Support projects and demonstrate systems in client and sales workshops.
• Extend standard customization of Avaloq Core Platform.
