Job summary

Harvest Home Primary School invites applications for classroom teachers to deliver high-quality teaching and learning across year levels. Staff will plan, deliver and assess engaging programs that align with the Victorian Curriculum and school priorities.

Role includes collaborating with colleagues, mentoring student teachers where appropriate, and using student data to inform instruction aimed at improving outcomes.

Qualifications

• SC1: Literacy and numeracy teaching with ability to respond to student needs.
• SC2: Plan and implement high impact teaching strategies, evaluate impact.
• SC3: Monitor and assess student learning using data and feedback for students/parents.
• SC4: Demonstrated interpersonal/communication skills and collaboration with stakeholders.
• SC5: Reflective practice and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or program.
• Undertake other classroom teaching-related and organisational duties as directed by the principal.
• Participate in activities such as parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties as required.
