Perks is recognised as one of the largest mid-tier accounting and wealth advisory firms in Australia. We are seeking an Auditor to join our hard-working team, working across a diverse client base and supported by Senior Auditors, Managers and Directors.

This role offers variety, challenge, and professional growth, with exposure to modern audit software such as Caseware and opportunities to progress toward CA qualification.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor of Commerce / Business or equivalent.
• Working towards a CA Qualification.
• Proficiency in basic accounting concepts and strong Excel skills; exposure to Xero/MYOB/Reckon.

Responsibilities

• Create and roll forward client audit files, and plan and perform substantive audit testing using templated workpapers.
• Prepare client data for use in audit workpapers and software, and undertake preliminary analytical reviews to identify patterns and areas of concern.
• Identify weaknesses in client control environments and potential fraud risks, and elevate these to Managers and Directors.
• Assist with the preparation of statutory financial reports, the drafting of audit reports, and proposed audit adjustments.
• Liaise with clients by phone and email, and work effectively with your team to meet deadlines.
