Responsibilities

• Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues.
• Performs reviews of audit work.
• Reviews financial statements for compliance with accounting standards and prepares reports.
• Summarises engagement highlights for partners.
• Ensure assignments are delivered to a high quality, on time and within budget.
• Lead multiple engagements with the audit team.
• Assist partners with business development and client relationship management.
• Mentor and coordinate audit teams and ensure methodology compliance.
• Monitor staffing needs and future resource planning.

About the role:

As an Audit Manager in our Perth office, you'll lead and deliver a diverse range of audit engagements, partnering with clients across a variety of industries. You'll play a key leadership role, guiding and developing high-performing audit teams, driving quality outcomes, and ensuring compliance with professional standards. As a trusted advisor, you'll build strong client relationships, provide valuable insights, and be the go-to contact for both clients and team members throughout the audit process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues
• Performs reviews of audit work
• Reviews of financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and preparation of reports and opinions to management
• Summarises the key areas of the engagement for the partner
• Ensures completion of each assignment to a high quality standard, within budget and on or before deadlines
• Conducting various audit engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit
• Together with partner negotiates fees and demonstrates commercial responsibility for profitability of each client
• Contributes to meetings and is able to make effective presentations to staff and clients
• Assisting with management and co-ordination of the audit team including training, mentoring and methodology compliance
• Monitors staffing requirements and future resource planning issues
• and Assists partners in business development and marketing activities

About you:

• 5-7 years’ experience audit experience
• Strong communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong prioritising skills
• Demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Detailed working knowledge and application of Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards and other applicable legislation
