Job summary

Consulting Group Pty Ltd in Sydney seeks an experienced AV Installer to deliver premium workplace AV installations across corporate offices and education sites. This hands-on field role covers modern fit-outs through to large-scale commercial developments, with a clear path into leadership and project management.

You will work with an experienced team on challenging projects, gaining AVIXA and manufacturer certifications while enjoying a company vehicle and long-term career security.

Qualifications

• Experience installing commercial AV systems.
• Exposure to Crestron, Control4, KNX, Extron, Q-SYS.
• Experience with structured cabling, data and fibre installation.
• Strong workmanship and attention to detail.
• Ability to read plans and work independently on site.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Current Australian driver's licence.
• Australian permanent residency or Australian/NZ citizenship.

• Structured cabling, fibre and data infrastructure
• Building and terminating communications racks
• Cable testing and fault finding
• Supporting Project Managers throughout project delivery

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on field role where you'll work on a variety of commercial AV projects throughout Sydney, installing premium workplace technology alongside an experienced team.

No two days are the same, with projects ranging from modern corporate fit-outs through to large-scale commercial developments.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installation of Commercial & Residential Audio Visual equipment
• Structured cabling, fibre and data infrastructure
• Building and terminating communications racks
• Cable testing and fault finding
• Supporting Project Managers throughout project delivery
• Ensuring installations are completed safely and to a high standard

About You

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

• Experience installing Commercial Audio Visual systems (or strong Residential AV experience looking to transition into commercial)
• Exposure to relevant Systems such as Crestron, Control4, KNX, Extron, Q-SYS etc
• Experience with structured cabling, data and fibre installation
• Strong workmanship and attention to detail
• Ability to read plans and work independently on site
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Australian Permanent Residency or Australian / New Zealand Citizenship
