Job summary

Meta is seeking experienced Audio Applied Scientists to design and implement advanced signal processing and machine learning algorithms for speech and audio across Meta’s products. You will develop technologies enabling high-quality listening experiences on mobile and wearables, while exploring new AI paradigms and GenAI integrations.

Qualifications

• Solid fundamentals of DSP and ML.
• 5+ years software development experience in audio, signal processing, or related domains.
• 3+ years of audio software engineering including DSP/ML development.
• Strong cross-functional communication across teams.
• Proficient in C/C++ and scientific languages (MATLAB, Python).
• Experience in small footprint ML, differential DSP, echo/noise reduction, spatial processing, or hearing aids.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop advanced DSP/ML algorithms for speech and audio.
• Define and build algorithms to support human and machine listening experiences.
• Build ML for resource-constrained platforms (mobile/wearables); explore AI paradigms.
• Implement and optimize algorithms for DSP and ML inference engines.
• Contribute to roadmap planning for next-gen platforms; collaborate across disciplines.
