Job summary

WSP Queensland Bridges, Aviation and Roads team is seeking an Associate Water Resources Engineer to join our Brisbane office. This senior role leads flood resilience, hydrology and hydraulic modelling across major transport projects in Australia, delivering climate-resilient solutions and high-quality client outcomes.

You will direct multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers and strengthen client relationships while guiding projects from planning through detailed design, with a focus on

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering; postgraduate study in water resources is desirable.
  • At least 10 years of relevant consulting experience, including leadership of flood assessments and multidisciplinary infrastructure delivery from planning through to detailed design.
  • CPEng and RPEQ, or eligibility to obtain these credentials.
  • Strong knowledge of ARR 2019 and hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, including RORB, XP-RAFTS, WBNM or AWBM, TUFLOW and QGIS; experience with 12d and MUSIC is desirable.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, client relationship management and mentoring capability, with an interest in flood resilience, climate adaptation and safe, sustainable outcomes.
