JLegal in Melbourne is seeking Associate to Senior Associate level lawyers for Commercial Property exposure across leasing, acquisitions and development. You will work on complex property transactions, engage with landlords and tenants, and take ownership of significant matters with growing client relationships.

We are currently working on a number of opportunities for property lawyers to join established commercial property practices in Melbourne.
With positions available from junior Lawyer level through to Senior Associate and Special Counsel, these opportunities can accommodate a range of backgrounds and career stages.
The work spans commercial property transactions, leasing, acquisitions and disposals, development and major projects, with opportunities for lawyers seeking either a broad transactional practice or a role with a stronger focus on a particular area such as commercial leasing.
Depending on your level, you may work closely with senior practitioners on complex transactions or take significant ownership of matters, client relationships and the development of junior lawyers.

There is flexibility within the opportunities to pursue either a broad commercial property practice or a more specialised leasing-focused role, depending on your existing experience and career interests.
We are interested in speaking with property lawyers across a broad range of experience levels, from approximately 1 year PAE through to Special Counsel.
You may come from a general commercial property background or have developed particular expertise in areas such as leasing, transactions, development or project-related property work.
You will bring strong drafting and communication skills, attention to detail and a commercial approach to your work.
For more experienced lawyers, the ability to independently manage matters and client relationships will be important. At Senior Associate or Special Counsel level, opportunities may also include supervising junior lawyers, taking greater responsibility for key clients and contributing to the continued development of the practice.
Experience across every area listed above is not required. We are keen to speak with lawyers whose property experience aligns with one or more of these areas.
