Finder in Sydney is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to work with engineers, designers and product managers to design, assemble and deliver new technology. You will be AI native, comfortable across the stack from UI to data, and contribute to accelerating output for the team and the business.
You will learn to direct agents, work with a large existing codebase, and bring unique insights. Strong JavaScript/HTML/CSS skills and experience with AI tools are valued.
At Finder, our mission is simple: we help people win at money.
We're the independent research engine behind millions of better financial decisions — we do the heavy lifting so our customers don't have to. Whether they're trying to save money, grow it, or grab a reward they can't get direct, we make sure they get a genuinely better deal.
We're a global fintech crew with hubs in Sydney, New York, London, and Wroclaw — engineers, analysts, content creators, and marketers who are genuinely nosy about money. We hire people who'd rather move fast and figure it out than wait for permission. The work is real, too: what you do actually changes what someone does with their money.
If that sounds like your kind of problem, this is the seat for you.
You will work closely with engineers, designers and product managers to design, assemble and deliver new technology and products that improve Finder's capabilities and grow the company.
You are hungry and ready to learn and grow while bringing unique skills and insights to the role. You will learn to direct agents to accelerate your output, the output of the team and the output of the entire business.
You are an AI native, comfortable with both agentic software development and delivery as well as the development and deployment of agents themselves. You are able to work across the technology stack from top to bottom and from UI to messaging, service and data tiers.
You are aligned with our core values of 'empowering people' to make change, a 'go live' bias towards action, a 'straight up' approach to open communication and 'mastery of your craft'.
This responsibility will also come with great rewards, experience, coaching, mentoring and internal support to achieve success.
We value potential and attitude over experience and are ready to support the right candidate in expanding their skill set.
To build technology and products that are used and loved by people and solve real-world problems, we need to build a team with many different perspectives and experiences. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply. Applicants in need of special assistance or accommodation during the interview process or in accessing our website may contact us. We will treat your request as confidentially as possible. In your email, please include your name and preferred method of contact, and we will respond as soon as possible. Email talent@finder.com with any questions or feedback.
