Job summary

Southern Adelaide Local Health Network invites applications for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) in Mental Health Rehabilitation at Trevor Parry Centre. The role leads specialist nursing rehabilitation services, develops recovery plans, and collaborates with consumers, carers and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

As Team Manager support, you will mentor staff, coordinate clinical services, and contribute to workforce planning including recruitment and performance development.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Midwife with at least 3 years post-registration experience.
• Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet timelines with minimal supervision.
• Experience leading student nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
• Creative, innovative, and flexible when addressing issues within the healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist clinical nursing rehabilitation services.
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation and recovery plans.

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), you will provide specialist clinical nursing rehabilitation services, contribute to the development and implementation of individualised rehabilitation and recovery plans and work collaboratively with consumers, carers and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes. Working closely with the Team Manager, you will support the coordination of clinical services, mentor and supervise staff, drive practice improvements and contribute to workforce management activities including recruitment, performance development and resource planning. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your leadership capabilities while providing advanced clinical expertise, supporting service excellence, and enhancing rehabilitation and recovery outcomes within a collaborative healthcare environment.

About you:

• Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
• Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines, whilst working under minimal supervision
• Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses
• Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the healthcare setting
